Some moments in cinema are not just watched—they’re felt. That’s precisely what happened at the deeply moving song launch of Metro…इन दिनों, where music, memory, and magic came together to celebrate a film that’s as emotionally rich as the songs it carries.
Presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions Pvt. Ltd., this much-anticipated Hindi-language The film is an anthology of four stories of contemporary couples. All four stories are set to connect with each other at some point in the film. The four stories are set in four metro cities in India- Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru.
Zamaana Lage: A Heartfelt Launch at Yuhi Lounge
Held at the intimate yet electric Yuhi Lounge in Mumbai, the launch of Zamaana Lage was every bit as emotional as the song itself. The entire star cast—Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta—graced the occasion, lighting up the venue with their presence.
Director Anurag Basu, composer Pritam, and producer Bhushan Kumar joined singers Papon, Shashwat Singh, and Raghav Chaitanya for an evening that felt more like friends and family coming together for one joyful celebration. The team spoke candidly about the emotional journey behind the music—and then brought it alive with live performances that left the crowd both teary-eyed and cheering.
“Each and every track I approve and listen to is an ode to my father, Shri Gulshan Kumar ji,” shared Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of T-Series. “He had the most discerning ear for music, and I carry that legacy forward with every song we create.”
The Music: More Than Just a Soundtrack
With Papon’s surprise rendition of an unreleased track and the official unveiling of Zamaana Lage, the night wasn’t just about releasing music—it was about feeling it. The crowd, cast, and crew joined in a spontaneous singalong, turning the event into a celebration of connection—something that lies at the heart of the film itself.
“It wasn’t about nailing a song—it was about living inside the music,” said Papon, who also features in the music video of the track.
Composer Pritam, whose collaboration with Basu has previously delivered musical gems, has once again created an emotionally layered soundtrack that promises to become the heartbeat of the film.
