Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit 2023 was held in Mumbai and Honourable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami actively participated in the Mumbai Roadshow. He was on a mission to showcase the favourable and picturesque locations across the state for both business and leisure and ideal for film shooting too.
During his interaction with the prominent members of the film fraternity present at the Mumbai Roadshow, he enlightened them about the commendable initiatives undertaken by the Uttarakhand Government to facilitate film shoots within the state. His visionary approach is aimed at making Uttarakhand the preferred destination for film production and ushering in an era of growth and collaboration.
In his address to the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the multifaceted initiatives undertaken by the Uttarakhand Government to promote and facilitate film shoots in the state. He said that apart from the Char-Dham yatra that Uttarakhand is popular for, it has one of the most pristine landscapes of the country with diverse geographical features, and abundant natural beauty, making it ideal for the array of breathtaking options available for film and webseries shoot. He emphasized the state’s improving infrastructure both in terms of connectivity and travel within the city, establishment of film cities, film institutes, new production and postproduction studios, cinema halls surely make for a better environment for films to be promoted.
Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami also encouraged the industry members to share their valuable insights and suggestions, fostering a collaborative relationship that will be mutually beneficial. He acknowledged that the creative inputs and experiences of the film industry leaders would be invaluable in shaping Uttarakhand’s future as a preferred shooting location.
The event marked the beginning of a new era of collaboration between the film industry and the state of Uttarakhand. With the government’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for filmmakers and a commitment to providing investments with enormous potential, Uttarakhand is poised to become the foremost choice for film production.
The event was initiated and curated by noted Film producer Shashi Ranjan who also acted as a bridge between both the host and fraternity members. The event was well attended by a galaxy of luminaries from the film industry including Jeetendra, Ramesh Taurani, Gopal Datt, Bharat Kukreti, Aahna Kumra, Archana Puran singh, Parmeet Sethi, Anand Pandit, Shivangi Joshi, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, Varun Badola, Manu rishi Chadha, Manasvi, Payas Pandit, Ravi Dubey and many more. Their presence emphasized the significance of this initiative and underlined the potential that Uttarakhand offers for cinematic excellence.
Chief Minister also invited people associated with the cinema world to the Global Investor Summit to be held in Dehradun on December 8-9, 2023.
