The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake and Lakeside Chalet, Mumbai-Marriott Executive Apartments have made history by hosting the first-ever Fine Dining Canine Dinner – Bone Appétit, curated by celebrity chef Varun Inamdar. The two-day event held on April 15th and 16th, 2023, was a sit-down dinner for dogs and their hoomans, promising to be an unforgettable culinary experience for the four-legged attendees.
This was a unique and memorable experience for dog owners and their beloved pets, with some of the most loved celebrities attending the event with their furry companions. Actor Vivan Bhathena came with his wife Nikhila Palat and their three adorable dogs – Muffin, Magic, and Marvel. Veteran actress Shubha Khote’s daughter Bhavana Balsaver accompanied by her husband Karan Shah and their lovely dogs Zorro and Pixie. Karan Wahi bought his lovely and cute dog, Noah, while Ejaz Khan came with Pavitra Punia and their dog Shakti. Gaurav Khanna, known for his role as Anuj Kapadia in the TV series Anupama, came with his wife Akanksha Khanna and their little furball, Sparky. Tanisha Mukerji attended the event with her furry companions, Angel and Leo, while Gautam Hegde was accompanied by his furry friend, Zoey. The guests had a wonderful time bonding with their furry companions over a delectable meal and a unique experience.
The event featured a specially curated four-course menu crafted by two-times National Award winner and Guinness World Record holder Chef Varun Inammdar. The menu featured locally sourced, organic ingredients that are free from preservatives and additives, making it not only delicious but also nutritious. The dogs were presented with an amuse-bouche of Turkey Côtelettes, followed by the first course of The Ultimate Grin Bowl, and the main course of Doggizza, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection.
The event was a perfect evening with celebrity-struck guests enjoying the unique experience of dining with their dogs. As a special touch, every dog received a personalised doggy bag filled with goodies from JUST DOGS to take home, including a toy, treats, and a handwritten note from the chef. The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake had outdone itself to create this unique and memorable experience for dog owners and their beloved pets.
