Masterclass with MasterChef Australia 2017 finalist Ben Ungermann at the ‘World On A Plate’ event in Mumbai
Nestlé MILKMAID, associates with India’s largest Gourmet Festival ‘World on A Plate’ for creating great tasting desserts. Nestle’s MILKMAID is a sweetened condensed milk that works wonders in making anything from fudge and ice-cream to puddings and pies.
MasterChef Ben Ungermann, also dubbed as the ‘Ice-cream king’ demonstrated a special MILKMAID Ice-cream recipe at the masterclass hosted at the fest.
“It may sound old-fashioned, but sweetened condensed milk recipes are the secret to creamy, sweet desserts. It is a staple ingredient in any pantry for adding flavour and texture to your desserts“, said Ben Ungermann.
Ben describes his food style as rustic with very diverse and unique flavor combinations. He has worked with some of the best chefs internationally from Yotam Ottolenghi and Clare Smyth to Heston Blumenthal. Ben has been travelling everywhere from Japan to England and his homeland in the Netherlands with his culinary adventures and has brought Ungermann Brothers ice cream overseas which makes it an international brand.
With his weakness and strength being ice-creams, Ben insists that ice-cream is that one food that is loved by all, it has a great scope for innovations and can stand alone as a centre-piece or be a part of a plated dessert.
