

The prestigious IMPACT 2025 Cricket Tournament, hosted by Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool), concluded with a thrilling finish at the Matunga Gymkhana in Mumbai. This tournament, one of the most sought-after events for business school teams, was held over two weeks and saw an impressive 12 top B-schools battle it out in 33 exhilarating matches.
The final match showcased an intense rivalry between WeSchool and Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management, with WeSchool emerging as the champion. The winning team was awarded a cash prize of ₹50,000, while the runner-up received ₹25,000 and a trophy.
Individual achievements also stood out, with Pranesh Dhuru from WeSchool being named the Man of the Match for his stellar performance. Jatin Shelke from Lala Lajpatrai Institute was recognized as the Best Batsman, while his teammate, Vinay More, dominated the awards by winning the titles of Best Fielder, Best Bowler, and Player of the Tournament.
During the award ceremony, Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director of WeSchool, highlighted the importance of such events in shaping well-rounded leaders. “Sports are more than just extracurricular activities; they are an essential part of management education.
