M Night Shyamalan returns with yet another gripping, mystery thriller – TRAP, his first release with Warner Bros.
The film’s trailer follows the storyline of a father played by Josh Hartnett along with his teen daughter (Ariel Donoghue) at a pop concert of Lady Raven (enacted by Saleka Shyamalan, Night Shyamalan’s daughter). As Josh leaves his daughter to go to the restroom, he sees the concert hall swamped by federal officers and on enquiry learns that the concert is a farce to catch the famed serial killer, The Butcher, who is expected at the concert. As the trailer unfolds, we realize that Josh, the father himself is ‘The infamous Butcher’, who now has to find his way out of the concert hall to his victim trapped in the home basement.
This time around there is no sympathy for the protagonist, we think we know who the killer is, or do we? Is this average looking family man on a routine day trip with his daughter really a killer? Now trapped in his own doings, will he be able to set himself free. That’s what makes this film plot all the more interesting to watch out for… as we wait with bated breath.

M. Night’s oldest daughter Saleka, plays Lady Raven in the film, where the story unfolds. Saleka is a R&B singer and songwriter who has recently released the album “Seance” with Columbia Records. The story sketch was inspired after M Night witnessed Saleka’s performances at these music concerts.
The first look of the film was unveiled at the CinemaCon held in Las Vegas, the film is slated to release August 9, 2024.
