There’s something about being a mom that redefines the word “adventure.” From diaper bags to backpacks stuffed with school snacks and now game cards and discount deals—life’s been one rollercoaster of amazing chapters. And in our latest chapter, my 10-year-old Jeehan and I set out on a weekend mission to check out the newly launched TIMEZONE at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla—one of Mumbai’s most loved destinations for family fun, shopping, and everything in between!
We landed there on a buzzing Saturday afternoon—the mall was brimming with Republic Day Sale energy, and my wallet was already feeling lighter just looking at all the tempting store windows. But Jeehan, ever the little man with a plan, was on a one-track mission: TIMEZONE or bust! He even navigated us using the mall’s directory like a pro (some serious future travel blogger potential there!).
The new TIMEZONE is a total game-changer—spanning over 14,000 sq. ft. of vibrant, well-spaced gaming madness that appeals to both kids and adults. Whether it’s mini bowling, racing simulators, air hockey or the irresistible Krazy Whirl bumper cars, we were bouncing between laughter, thrill, and the occasional defeat (he totally crushed me at Air Hockey—and made sure to do the floss dance in celebration!).
I also loved how parent-friendly the space is—benches inside the zone, enough room to move with younger children, and super courteous staff who truly understand family dynamics. A huge shoutout to Rajni, the Centre Manager, for being the warm and composed anchor during all the action. She even encouraged Jeehan to try the Virtual Reality experience—which had him screaming, ducking, and swinging like he was inside a real-life video game. The kid was buzzing with energy!
For parents who want their kids to burn off that weekend energy while bonding over some nostalgic arcade fun, this is the place. Our 3-hour blitz through TIMEZONE wrapped up with a quick bite at the food court and some window shopping therapy. We were happy-tired, a little sweaty, and totally pumped to come back again—next time with Jeehan’s dad for some bowling alley action (he doesn’t know what’s coming for him!).
