~ Miss Martinique wins hearts as the Top Model ~
The 71st edition of Miss World is a whirlwind of elegance, beauty and purpose as 120 contestants from around the world come together in a fierce competition to secure their position for the coveted title. India plays host to the Miss World Organization as they welcome the delegate to the country after nearly 28years.
Preceding the finale, the contestants came together at a glamorous event held at the Aurika Mumbai SkyCity for the Best Designer Dress and Top Model title. Contestants were seen in their dazzling best striking a pose for a chance to secure a position as the Top 40 semi-finalist at Miss World 2024. Contestants wore outfits by designers from their home country.
Axelle Rene, Miss Maritinique with her striking presence, impeccable style, and undeniable talent emerged victorious as Top Model, solidifying her status at the ongoing pageant. Dazzling the audiences and judges alike with her unparalleled grace, confidence, and runway prowess. From the moment she stepped onto the stage, she commanded attention with every stride, exuding an aura of sophistication and allure that set her apart.
Sini Shetty, Miss India from Mumbai secures her position among the top 20 with a win at the Best Designer Dress for Asia/Oceania. She walked the ramp in a stunning Galaxy Blue Nave Gown by designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna making hearts swoon, she completed her look by leaving her voluminous hair curled open.
The Top 20 finalist now include contestants from USA, Canada, Martinique, Dominican Republic, Peru, Botswana, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Togo, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Scotland, Slovakia, Indonesia, Lebanon, Phillippines, Turkiye and India.
The Top 10 Beauty with a Purpose winners include Nepal, Uganda, Tanzania, Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago, Botswana, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Turkiye, and Indonesia.
Megan Young, Philippines’ first Miss World winner will serve as co-host along with Karan Johar, Indian Film and TV Personality for the coronation night. The Finale of the Miss World 2024 will be at the Jio Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai on 9th March, 2024.
