Several people across the country are working tirelessly to aid the residents of Kerala at this hour of need when the state is worst affected by the flood. The disaster has claimed over 483 lives and caused major destruction across the state.
After Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan requested people to make generous contributions towards the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, many people from all around the country and internationally have come forth to show their support and solidarity.
The latest figure states that there are approx. 60,000 people in various relief camps. Now that the state is focusing on rebuilding all that has been lost and providing relief and shelter to the refugees with a focus on medicines, food, and hygiene of the basic living conditions.
The government has estimated a cost of over 3.5 Billion Dollar in setting the state back on its feet if not more.
Any smallest of contributions by the public will aid in making a big difference and that’s how we have people coming forward to help in.
