KidZania, the world’s leading interactive edutainment destination, has partnered with Meetakriti Art Studio, founded by award-winning sculptor and gold medalist Meeta Suraiya, to launch an exciting new creative experience for children. Through the Meetakriti Pottery Studio at KidZania, young visitors can now step into the role of a Potter or Artist, explore the art of clay modeling, paint vibrant designs, and discover the joy of transforming imagination into reality through hands-on learning and play.
This creative role-play is not only about play—it introduces children to pottery and art as real career possibilities. From ceramics and product design to sculpture and art therapy, this activity inspires kids to see how creativity can move beyond a hobby and grow into a fulfilling profession. By learning the patience, discipline, and focus needed to work with clay, children also discover values and skills that stay with them for life.
During the interactive sessions, young Potters will shape terracotta clay on an electric wheel, while budding Artists will paint and decorate their creations. A short introductory video will take kids through the journey of a potter and showcase how mindful, eco-friendly practices can positively impact the world around us.
Developmental Benefits of Experience:
- Gross Motor Skills: Strengthening muscles and improving coordination through clay shaping.
- Focus & Patience: Building concentration by working with intricate details.
- Creative Career Pathways: Opening doors to careers in ceramics, sculpture, product design, and art therapy.
- Confidence & Achievement: Boosting self-esteem with tangible creations to take home.
Speaking about the partnership, Tarandeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Business Officer, KidZania India, said: “At KidZania, we believe learning goes far beyond classrooms. Pottery and art offer children a powerful combination of creativity, skill-building, and mindfulness. Partnering with Meeta Suraiya and Meetakriti Art Studio enables us to provide kids with a joyful, immersive space where they can explore their talents and discover how passion can also lead to a profession. Within a few months, we will also set up another studio at KidZania Delhi NCR, taking this creative journey to even more children.”
Meeta Suraiya, Founder-Director of Meetakriti Art Studio, added: “Every child is unique, and creativity is a language through which they discover themselves. Pottery and art don’t just nurture self-expression—they also open real career opportunities in today’s world. Through this collaboration with KidZania, I want children to experience how shaping clay today can shape their future tomorrow.”
With over two decades of experience and more than six lakh students inspired through pottery and art workshops across India and overseas, Meeta Suraiya brings her creative vision and passion for the arts to KidZania’s city of role-play. This collaboration not only celebrates the timeless craft of pottery but also strengthens KidZania’s mission of empowering children with real-world skills through engaging and purposeful experiences—this time, with clay-stained hands, vibrant colors, and imagination shaped into lasting memories.
As KidZania Mumbai continues to introduce innovative activities that blend learning with play, the launch of the Meetakriti Pottery Studio promises to spark curiosity and creativity in young minds. More than just an art activity, it is an opportunity for children to experiment, express themselves, and perhaps even discover a lifelong passion—making every visit to KidZania a journey of inspiration and discovery.
