From the very beginning, 2024 was packed with events that made us proud to be your trusted source for local happenings. One of the highlights of the year was the spectacular announcement event and the thrilling finale of Sachin Tendulkar’s ISPL (Indian Street Premier League) Season 1, where we witnessed some intense matches and celebrated the spirit of street cricket. The excitement didn’t end there, as we were also lucky enough to be a part of Lollapalooza, an iconic music festival where we rocked out to performances from our favorite artists like One Republic, Jonas Brothers, Lauv, and the legendary Sting. For those who grew up listening to Sting’s iconic hits, his live performance was a moment we’ll cherish forever.
We were also incredibly proud to be part of a historic event—the 71st Miss World 2024 pageant, held right here in Mumbai after over three decades. Witnessing Krystna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic being crowned as Miss World 2024 was nothing short of glamorous. It was an event where beauty met social change, bringing together changemakers and influential figures from all over the world.
Our beloved Mumbai Festival brought us countless unforgettable experiences, from the Tata Mumbai Marathon to the ever-vibrant Kala Ghoda Festival, and of course, the Mumbai Comic Con 2024. As huge anime and comic fans, our team couldn’t miss this iconic event—even if it meant skipping school with my son (definitely not the ideal scheduling for school and college parents, though)!
When the summer heat hit, we cooled off at Water Kingdom, Asia’s best water park, located right in Mumbai. It was the perfect family day out, filled with laughter, water slides, and unforgettable memories. Another highlight of the year was Father’s Day, when we celebrated with thoughtful gifting options that brought us closer to brands and experiences we truly loved.
April 2024 marked a revolutionary moment for our kitchen adventures as we were introduced to Wonderchef’s new Chef Magic All-in-1 Kitchen Robot. Witnessing the launch of this groundbreaking kitchen appliance was a game-changer for home cooking. With the Chef Magic robot combining multiple kitchen functions into one sleek and efficient machine, it truly brought a revolution in kitchenware appliances, making meal preparation easier and more convenient than ever. We were amazed by how technology is transforming kitchens, and we’re thrilled to share this innovation with all of you!
July was a month of glamour and film-driven events, which provided us with the sparkle and shine we all need. One of the most exciting moments for us was meeting Uorfi Javed in August. Her candid conversation and promotion of her web series ‘Follow Kar Lo Yaar’ was the perfect blend of humor and insight.
One of the most beautiful cultural moments came when we participated in a ‘mukh darshan’ of the famous Andhericha Raja Ganpati idol during Ganesh Chaturthi. Not far behind was an unforgettable opportunity to meet Shah Rukh Khan at the IIFA Awards press announcement meet, where the Bollywood king graced the stage once again.
In October, the excitement ramped up with the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2024, where we marveled at some of the latest trends in fashion. Thanks to GNOCE.com, a Hong Kong-based jewelry brand, we also got to shine with stunning pieces that complemented our stylish outfits.
November was a month filled with family birthdays, anniversaries, and the celebrations of Diwali, our favorite Festival of Lights. It was also a month full of surprises, including an exclusive invite to tour the Amerigo Vespucci, a 93-year-old Italian training ship that sailed across 30 countries and docked in India!
December 2024 brought us face to face with Tennis Legend Andre Agassi, who shared his passion for health, wellness, and his newfound love for Pickleball. It was the perfect way to round off an incredible year of physical activity, learning, and global inspiration.
This year, the world of cinema, both on-screen and through OTT platforms like Amazon Prime and Netflix, gifted us an array of unforgettable films and shows that left a lasting impression. Amazon Prime’s Citadel with its Honey Bunny sequence and Netflix’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar brought a dazzling mix of glam and drama to our screens. Meanwhile, in the world of cinema, we were treated to high-octane action with Pushpa 2 and the epic grandeur of Gladiator II. Quirky, thrilling narratives such as Stree 2 and Laapataa Ladies also kept us on our toes, while Kalki 2898 AD brought a fresh wave of sci-fi excitement. Exhume kept us on the edge of our seats with its gripping suspense, and Transformers One delivered a nostalgic yet futuristic adventure. These films, along with the OTT hits, provided us with dollops of entertainment that brightened our year, leaving us eagerly awaiting what’s next!
Additionally, this year also saw the rise of some truly revolutionary brand and celebrity launches that reshaped the market. From Tanishq’s exquisite jewelry collections to Shoppers Stop’s innovative retail experiences, brands brought fresh excitement. Godrej’s new range of locks, Streax Professionals’ latest haircare offerings, and Sternhagen bathware elevated luxury living. Carysil’s cutting-edge kitchen solutions, Firefly Jewels‘ stunning creations, and American Pecan’s delightful flavors gave us plenty to indulge in. Not to be left behind, Queenfisher refreshed its brand, while Nitori, the Japanese home store, made waves with its stylish and functional designs.
