Dr Sonal Mansingh, Mumbai’s iconic Classical Dance Maestro is well recognized for her contribution in promoting Indian Dance Culture around the world.
She has bought much glory in her career and has been conferred several awards including the Padma Bhushan, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the Padma Vibhusan and title of Doctor of Science.
Recently Dr. Sonal Mansingh added one more feather to her cap. She was honoured by World Book Of Records, UK as the Most Iconic Cultural Personality of India. She has not only Mastered Multiple Dance Form but has also worked on taking classical dance form to great heights and make its own place in the cluster of Bollywood.
The event was held in Mumbai where ace choreographer Sandip Soparkar who is the son of Dr. Sonal was present at the event. It was a proud moment for him. He also said that the secret behind him wearing a tilak every day is his mother who has taught him to do so as the tilak purifies your soul.
Dancer and actress Prachi Shah was also present at the ceremony.
There was a cultural dance program performed by Sandip Soparkar Academy students.
