Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films presents Mansi Jain’s short film ‘Churri’, featuring Tisca Chopra, Anurag Kashyap and Surveen Chawla.
Churri tells the story of a homemaker ’s case of neglect and being scorned by her husband for another woman. However, fed up of being sidelined so callously, and see the pitiful look from her own daughter, she decides to take charge of her life. And take charge she does – with aplomb!
Churri portrays how women today even your average typical homemaker has evolved. And No ! There’s no rona-dhona, No slap in your face other than sheer wits and gumption of a woman standing up for herself and living her life with her head held high. I loved how Tisca Chopra portrayed this role and as always leaves us suitably impressed.
