For the fans of Chris Evans who played Steve Rogers aka Captain America, one of the most loved Marvel Superhero character it’s a sad day to note he bids adieu to the franchise.
“Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.” tweeted Chris Evans.
We first saw Chris Evans play Captain America in the 2011 film “Captain America:The First Avenger”, since then he has gone on to essay the role to more popularity around the globe in five more films, 2012’s “The Avengers”, 2014’s “Captain America:The Winter Soldier”, 2015’s “Age of Ultron”, 2016’s “Captain America:Civil War”, 2018’s “Avengers:Infinity War”, as well as cameo in a number of other Marvel films. His contract extended to include his last film the untitled Avengers 4.
While he is obviously reluctant to quit the format he was insistent “ you want to get off the train before they push you off”….We really don’t think it’s so, but sometimes you have to learn to let go.
While there are speculations of another Captain America who could rise in the Cinematic Marvel Universe, Chris Evans, you will always remain our favorite Captain!
‘Avenger 4’ is expected to release on May 3, 2019!
