Life after motherhood is a beautiful, chaotic transformation. My sleek travel backpack gave way to a tote overflowing with snack boxes, toy cars, wipes, and the occasional crayon. My once fast-paced media life pivoted into remote work, blogging, brand strategy, celebrity management — and most importantly, full-time mom mode (and no, I wouldn’t have it any other way!). While I’ve adapted to an uber-modern lifestyle with all its tech comforts, the adventurer in me has been lying low for a while now… until recently.
This summer, as I wrestled with the eternal question of “What do I do with this bundle of boundless energy?” (a.k.a. my 8-year-old son, Jeehan), a dear friend suggested Let’s Play — an indoor adventure play zone. She’d gone with her 6-year-old daughter and couldn’t stop raving about it. Add to that my teenage neighbour’s enthusiastic stamp of approval, and I was intrigued.
So, off we went to explore what the fuss was all about — and oh, what a day it turned out to be!
It had been nine whole years since my last real adventure trip (hello, Egypt nostalgia), and here I was, staring up at a wall full of zigzag ladders and colorful footholds, strapped into a harness and wondering, “How did I end up here again?” Before I could fully process that thought, I heard Jeehan’s nervous little voice, “I can’t, Mama! What if I fall?”
Snapping out of my hesitation, I smiled and said, “Don’t worry, baby — Mamma’s going first!” I began my climb, palms sweaty, heart racing, but determined. We both pushed past our fears, encouraged each other, and finally—on the count of three—let go. The rush was real. “Jai Mata Di!” I squealed. Swinging down never felt so freeing.
“Wow! I’m flying like Spiderman!” Jeehan yelled gleefully. And just like that, he was back up for round two, full of confidence. That moment? Pure magic.
Let’s Play is not your average indoor play zone. It’s a cleverly designed, multi-level wall climbing and rope course that caters to ages 4 to 60. Think Speed Competition Walls, Spider’s Webs, Fireman’s Climbs, The Labyrinth, and over 20 activities that challenge your strength, balance, and courage. It’s a perfect mix of fitness and fun — whether you’re a kid, a curious parent, or even a corporate team looking for a solid bonding session.
One moment that stayed with me was watching a young girl breeze through the obstacles with such ease and grace, it reminded me how strong and fearless children can be. It also gave me a nudge — time to get fitter, mama!
I even met a lovely bunch of moms from the suburbs who made the trek just for this experience with their kids. After a quick chai and a bite at the mezzanine floor café (plus a few clicks for the blog!), Jeehan and I wrapped up — three hours later and completely recharged.
What I loved most? You’re not just entertaining your child — you’re doing something with them. You bond, laugh, support, cheer, and maybe even surprise yourself a little.
Located inside a mall near Hypercity and right next to Decathlon, Let’s Play makes for a full-day family outing. Whether it’s birthdays, playdates, or even corporate training events, this place is ready to deliver energy and smiles.
We returned home happily exhausted — with slightly sore arms, wide smiles, and a pact to return, this time with Jeehan’s dad in tow. Because come Father’s Day on June 18, we’re making it a trio adventure — and trust me, it’s game on!
Final Thoughts from One Mom to Another:
If you’re looking for more than just another soft play area — if you want a place that lets your child challenge their fears and lets you rediscover the thrill of doing the same — Let’s Play is worth every minute. Go for the laughs, stay for the memories, and don’t forget to pack your sneakers… and your courage.
Let me know if you plan to go — maybe we’ll meet you on the wall!
