From the iconic banner of Aradhana Films, helmed by the late legendary filmmaker Shakti Samanta, comes a fresh new tale of romance — Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai. Set against the backdrop of deep-rooted family feuds and breathtaking foreign locales, the film marks the grand debut of Aditya Samanta, the third-generation torchbearer of the Samanta cinematic legacy, alongside newcomer Nazia Hussain, niece of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and grand-niece of the legendary Nargis Dutt.
A Star-Studded Music Launch
The film’s recent music launch was an event to remember. Held in a vibrant, packed auditorium, it was graced by Bollywood stalwarts including Moushumi Chatterjee, Mohnish Behl, Rati Agnihotri, and Farida Jalal.
Producer Ashim Samanta, father of Aditya and son of Shakti Samanta, took center stage to express his heartfelt excitement. “The response tonight has been overwhelming. The applause and whistles give us confidence that audiences are eager to embrace this story,” he said.
The evening also saw live performances by the film’s stars and musical legends. Aditya and Nazia lit up the stage with a charming performance of the romantic track “Pyaar Karna Na Tha”, while veteran composer Anu Malik performed alongside his daughter Anmol Malik for the very first time. Their high-energy rendition of “Big Fat Indian Wedding” brought the house down. Singer Neeraj Shridhar also thrilled the crowd with his performance.
Ashim Samanta showered praise on the lead actress, saying, “Nazia is exactly what we envisioned — a perfect blend of innocence, tradition, and modernity.” The easy camaraderie between Aditya and Nazia didn’t go unnoticed either, with cast members and guests alike lauding the natural chemistry shared by the debutants.
The Story: Love Amidst Rivalry
Set against a grand tapestry of tradition, Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai unfolds the saga of two feuding hotelier families — the Rathores and the Choudharys — from Udaipur, Rajasthan. A murder in the past and a fierce business rivalry keep them bitterly divided. But fate has other plans.
Born on Valentine’s Day, Karishma Rathore and Karan Choudhary, unaware of their hostile legacies, meet 23 years later in the romantic landscapes of Poland. What begins as chance soon blossoms into an intense, passionate love story. As family secrets unravel, the couple must fight not just for love, but for peace between their families.
