As winter softens and the harvest season ushers in hope, gratitude, and renewal, India comes alive with festivals that may go by different names—but share the same soul. From Lohri’s bonfire-lit warmth in the north, to Makar Sankranti’s promise of abundance across regions, and Pongal’s heartfelt thanksgiving in the south, these celebrations mark new beginnings, shared joy, and the deep connection between food, land, and community. Increasingly, India’s hospitality spaces are becoming cultural bridges—bringing together these diverse traditions under one roof, thoughtfully reimagined for today’s diners.
At ITC Maratha’s Peshwa Pavilion, this spirit unfolds through a festive culinary showcase that celebrates Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal together. As the new year settles in, the restaurant transforms into a warm, welcoming space where seasonal décor, live music, and time-honoured recipes come together. The thematic buffet is an invitation to gather, slow down, and celebrate the harvest season through food that feels familiar, comforting, and deeply rooted.
Available on 13 January (dinner) and 14 January (lunch), the festive spread highlights winter favourites and regional classics—from Gajak, Til Laddu and Reweri, to Sarson ka Saag with Makai ki Roti, Baingan ka Bharta, Pindi Chole, and Undhiyu. Southern staples like Makara Chaula, Pongal, and a traditional Payasam round off the experience on a sweet, nostalgic note.
Together, the celebration captures the essence of India’s harvest festivals—where shared tables, seasonal flavours, and age-old traditions come together to welcome prosperity, warmth, and togetherness at the start of a new year.
