Mumbai witnessed a delicious new chapter in the FMCG lifestyle space as Paras Dairy, one of India’s most trusted dairy names, announced the launch of its Galacia Cheese in the western and southern markets. After carving a strong presence up north, the brand is now ready to take its creamy, indulgent offerings to food lovers and gourmet kitchens in cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The launch took place at Anuga Select India, and it isn’t just about cheese—it’s about building a lifestyle brand that resonates with taste, quality, and modern food culture.
Crafted at Paras Dairy’s state-of-the-art facility in Ahmednagar, Galacia Cheese is made from the finest cow’s milk sourced responsibly from carefully selected farms. Using advanced Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) technology, the cheese retains its freshness, prevents lumping, and offers even spreadability—qualities that make it a delight not only for chefs in bustling commercial kitchens but also for compact home setups where convenience meets creativity. With an investment of over INR 100 crore in this facility, Paras Dairy is raising the bar for cheese in India.
For Paras Dairy, this isn’t just an expansion—it’s a statement of intent. From being available across 500 HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) outlets, the brand now has its eyes set on 2,000+ by March 2026, strengthening its footprint as a premium yet accessible cheese brand. As Joint Managing Director, Gajendra Nagar, put it simply, “Our goal is to deliver quality at competitive prices and become the preferred partner for the HORECA industry.”
The brand is also innovating to suit India’s diverse culinary palette. From mozzarella to customised cheese variants like low melt, high melt, and analogue cheese, Galacia is designed to meet every kitchen’s need, whether it’s a sizzling pizza, a rich pasta, or a gourmet burger. “This expansion is a big step toward building a national cheese brand, backed by technology and responsible sourcing,” shared VPS Malik, Chief Marketing Officer of VRS Foods Ltd.

Currently available in 1 kg IQF packs, Galacia Cheese will soon see its portfolio expand with processed cheese blocks, slices, and cheese sauces, giving consumers and chefs more reasons to experiment and indulge. What makes the journey even more exciting is Paras Dairy’s strong legacy—over 60 years of working with more than 3,00,000 farmers across 7,000 villages, five modern manufacturing plants, and exports to 45 countries. With Galacia Cheese, they aren’t just bringing dairy—they’re bringing a slice of India’s culinary pride to every plate.
From pizzas in bustling cafés to gourmet recipes at fine-dining restaurants, Galacia Cheese promises to become the new lifestyle essential for foodies and professionals alike. With quality, taste, and trust at its heart, this expansion is more than just about dairy—it’s about adding a fresh layer of indulgence to India’s evolving food story
