Hi! I’m Saveeta — most people call me ‘Savvy’.
Twenty-three years ago I stepped off a local train at Churchgate with a press pass in one hand and a chattering heart in the other, determined to turn Mumbai’s chaos into stories the world hadn’t heard yet.
Since then, I’ve produced news and docu-series for CNN, Al Jazeera, Reuters, ABC, Channel 4 and SNTV, launched two content babies of my own – Lifestyles of Mumbai and Global Newsmakers – and, somewhere between deadlines and dopamine, raised the next-gen storyteller who now writes on the blog with me (hi, Jeehan).
My super-power? Making global conversations feel like they’re happening inside the Bajaj household: real, raw, always human.
When I’m not chasing a story or negotiating with a Gen Z guest-editor, I’m at home in Andheri with filmmaker-husband Dinesh, drinking cutting-chai and stealing frames from the city that never lets us sleep.
Those stolen frames, the midnight headlines and the everyday chaos eventually find their way back here—into the pixels of Savvy World—so the conversation never really ends; it just jumps from Mumbai’s streets to your screen
If you’ve got a product, service, start-up or global brand that could use a little Mumbai masala in its story, just drop me a mail on lifestylesofmumbai@gmail.com | savvyworldmedia@gmail.com
or WhatsApp (+91-7738966044)
and we’ll turn your brief buzzing.
