‘REMA Calm Down’ Music Tour hits an All New High note | Declared a raving success with a packed house at NSCI Dome, Worli

Rema- Calm Down Music Tour had everything going for it with an audio – visual treat of the very best one can experience at a concert. It was hosted at the Dome @ NSCI, Mumbai’s largest indoor stadium situated at Worli. After a successful performance at New Delhi on 12th May, the Afrorave star landed in Mumbai amidst much fanfare. He was given a grand Maharashtrian welcome with the paps and fans surrounding him. He seemed overwhelmed as he recorded the moment on his phone, whilst Mumbaikars waited for an exciting Saturday Night to catch him Live.

The 23-year-old Rema aka Divine Ikubor who hails from Nigeria rose to fame with his debut in 2019 and is well recognised for his song Calm Down. Rema has been equally excited about his performance in India which has garnered the highest view than any other country. The popular track also has a version with the gorgeous singer Selena Gomez who features in it.

Here are a few things which worked for most of us who were present at the Concert.

The venue and location is a great match for Mumbaikars living across the length and breath of the city plus its large arena can easily accommodate over 8000 people in the indoor arena saving from the dust and humidity outside. The venue has always been in high demand for offering luxury, comfort and a live memorable experience for people of all age groups and concerts of all genres.

Even with a late beginning, the audience were in high spirits, luckily being a Saturday night, we just didn’t have to worry about getting back to work the next day. The bevy of boisterous crowd gathered at the ticket counter was testimony that Mumbai just won’t stand down because of the heat wave.

As we entered the cool comfort of the venue, we hear the party start with the DJs playing some great mix which had us join the sing-a-longs to get the mood going.

The concert hall was engulfed in a magical haze with laser lights, fog and smoke as the singers emerged one after the other. The first to come stage for an opening act was UK based pop artist Celina Sharma who danced and sang a few of her songs including Jhoota. She was followed by singer Nikhita Gandhi who lit the stage with her tracks Jugnu and Nach Meri Rani. Also Goa Musician Tsumyoki impressed the crowd with his high voltage performance.

Rema finally made an appearance late into the night with a shout out ‘Kasa kai Mumbai‘ as he waved the Indian flag. He delighted his audience exclaiming about the beautiful indian girls (to the delights of the girl fans). He asked the crowd to relax and let down their hairs (literally speaking), calling the music concert as Rema’s ‘Party’!!!

Amidst a magical haze, laser show and sparks of fire, sparklers and confetti, the singer also performed on his other popular tracks including Oroma baby, Divine, Bounce, Corny, and Dumebi from his album Rave and Roses.

During one of his performance, bollywood’s hot and sultry actress Nora Fatehi joined Rema for a short duration on stage grooving to ‘Nach Meri Rani’…

The crowd went wild when he started crooning the famed ‘Calm Down’ at the very end of the concert, saving the best for the last as he bid goodbye to the city and its people. All in all ‘Rema’s Party’ was a raving success which will linger for a long long time ahead!
